It's a sarcasm Dude, to a common cope phrase; Bahmut, Vuhledar, Andriivka, Kurakhove, Velika Novosilka, Sudzha (Kursk), etc., all become: "never strategically important" only after they fall, you get the idea.

Many Ukrainians in the west of the country, specifically Galicia and Volhynia, did collaborate with the Nazis, although it was to serve their own means - both higher social status and an independent Ukraine, which is what they actually wanted.
