Final word on Pixiv URL/name?

I really need to get this straight.

Some artists will have a Pixiv URL that doesn't correspond to their current Pixiv display name.
Which should take precedence when creating artist entries?

howto:Pixiv states gives the following order:

• 1. (full) name from website
• 2. Pixiv username (from Pixiv URL)
• 3. Pixiv nickname

In which case, I've been making TERRIBLE MISTAKES for the past year!

Aside: help:artists doesn't have links to howto:artist/howto:Pixiv.

Did you forget that we just had this discussion in topic #10107?

Go with whatever name people actually know the artist by. Which for Pixiv artists, is usually the nickname, not the URL name.

I updated howto:pixiv to remove the suggestion to use the Pixiv username for the tag.

I have a poor memory sometimes :(

In that case, I think howto:artist & howto:Pixiv need some rewrites.

They were neutral records though. Plus I'd rather keep that as a reminder that this *is* the new system.
