Subscription update rates?

I remember that a couple years ago subscription updates would be instantaneous. But now they only update when the Danbooru time is midnight (or something like that)

Is this an issue that's currently being addressed? Or is it something we all just have to deal with?

Once per day.

Making it more frequent has been suggested but it takes like 30 mins or an hour for the site to go through and update every subscription so it can't be done all that frequently.

Seems a lot of people are fine with once-per-day since they can just check their subscriptions daily.

I'd like it to be a bit more frequent, but I'm not in agony as it is.
