create alias 23_(real_xxiii) -> real_xxiii
same artist, consolidate to larger group
Just letting you know: you can request bulk tag updates here so you don't have to make different threads for similar requests, and save yourself and Albert some time.

How the hell did we end up with 2 tags?
Looked through the tag histories, seems Inferno removed the tags for real_xxiii, DSG and Ahoge girl and replaced them with new versions for some reason.

Artist has always used the name 23. real xxiii was only ever used as a pixiv account login and only appeared in image URL links (i.e. http://i2.pixiv.net/img04/img/real_xxiii/). Display name on pixiv and Twitter is 23. Credited as 23 on commercial works at http://www.saberfish.jp/works27.html and http://www.5bit.net/WFG.html.

Aliases and implications now count the post changes to the requester's profile, not the admin who approved the request. I don't know why Albert changed it, but it's a thing now.
I didn't know that, thanks for the info.
There is no alias in place for these tags, though. It looks like Inferno just randomly replaced them with new versions in some posts, so we ended up with two of each (23_(real_xxiii), real_xxiii, etc.)
Maybe a botched alias request or tag script?
The aliases are listed as pending so I guess Inferno really did unilaterally changed the tags. That's not proper protocol and Inferno's been here long enough to know better than to pull this shit, especially when it's a high-profile artist with probably hundreds of subscribers.

Those aliases are the wrong way around!
Requested the artist alias 3 months ago in the More artist aliases forum thread as NWF Renim illustrated and nothing came of it, presumably because it was right before jxh2154 stepped down due to inactivity. Just used the automated alias request form so maybe albert will actually notice it this time.
So, yes, I did follow protocol and protocol went ignored. Also if said artist was "high-profile" it wouldn't have been tagged as a pixiv generated login instead of the artist's actual pen name for almost 7 years.
@Inferno
The fact that your request was ignored the first time is no excuse to go around randomly changing tags on your own. So, no, you most definitely did not follow protocol.
Next time just bump threads and post your request again, until it is noticed. Things might slip through the mods attention sometimes, but there's no issue that isn't addressed eventually.
