Oddly enough, this is third artist I've had to re-tag on Danbooru.

In such cases, it's better to submit an alias, create an alias artist, and then open a thread. This way you save on re-tagging effort, and the system will correct things in the future automatically. Speaking of which, artist editing is broken atm, it needs a thread of its own.

I tend to distrust the efficiency of any type of system, but this time using the tag script only took about five seconds anyway.

Adding a new artist creates new tags but doesn't set them as artist tags. I don't remember if there are any other issues.
