Clarity on the +_+ tag

Posted under Tags

The wiki says it fits the description, just as I submitted in post #2093189

But then I see many other examples listed for character that have symbol-shaped_pupils.
I think there is a clear difference, because one related to a facial expression and the other is a visual trait.

Maybe it should be said the +_+ tag should represent eyes entirely in the shape of star, rather than just the pupils.

I think the issue here is because the wiki mentions as an example 'eyes like Nia Teppelin' which is basically symbol-shaped pupils.

(sorry for the strange formatting below, but I can't do it any better with DText)

The current situation is actually quite complicated:

			+_+ (trait)	+_+ (expression)	diamond (expression)	star (trait)
+_+ yes yes [1] no no
star-shaped_pupils	yes yes [2] no yes
diamond-shaped_pupils	no yes [2] yes no

[1] whole eyes or only pupils
[2] only pupils

definitions:

+_+ = four-pointed star ✦

diamond = diamond ♦

star = five (or more) pointed star ★

I'm not sure what's the best way going forward. It would be nice to more clearly separate these cases, but it would require manually changing the tags on a lot of posts and what's even more difficult is how to make sure that users actually use the correct tag in the future.
