Defensive walls

Why not just brick wall or stone wall?

There is a difference between normal "keep out of my property" walls and the thick medieval walls built to withstand sieges. They are thick enough to walk on and often have crenellations and machicolations. I suppose I could start a tag for crenellations but that might be to specific for Danbooru.

we have defensive_wall and fortress tags actually.

How did I miss the defensive wall tag? I looked at two of those posts just before making this topic. Thanks man.

As it turns out, I created a battlement tag some months ago for crenellated walls, but it remains sparsely populated.

While we're on the subject of walls, can we come to an agreement about when to use the wall tag? I only tag freestanding walls (post #858626, post #2292497, post #2724103), but it feels like I'm in the minority, since others use this tag for the facades or interior walls of buildings (post #1537967, post #1703507, post #2553787, post #2788117). It seems to me that if we're going to tag wall so liberally, then logically, it should apply to every indoors image as well as nearly every depiction of a building. When should it be appropriate to tag walls?

I think like with the floor tag, it should only be used in the situation where a character is situated on it or it is otherwise emphasized.
