Favorite Artists

This has now been implemented.

Except I just realized I never updated the querying methods.

Still working on the thing? My General only has three images, and my Touhou doesn't have any touhou (not the top 5, anyway).

Me too. I've modified my tags, but the "latest" favorites posts don't have the bunnysuit, swimsuit, and leotard tags.

I'm still tweaking it but it seems to be working now. Favorite tags will only work for newly uploaded posts, it doesn't search for old ones.

All I'm getting is 3 images that have absolutely nothing to do with any of my favorite tags, for some reason.

Mine are all mixed up, and there seem to be some images mixed in that are totally unrelated.

Maybe because no images (or not enough) matching your criteria have been uploaded since this was implemented?

Changing the tags entirely (like, say, from touhou to touhou -bukkake to -bukkake) doesn't change the present contents at all, but I guess that can't be helped?

Seems to be working somewhat but not exactly what I imagined. I, for one, am not a fan of grouping all of the tags into one link in the profile. I liked being able to use my profile as a hub to get to my favorite tags.

Was thinking more like having a subset of favorites like it is now but in separate tables or line breaks or something and linking to each tag rather than the pool and separating with commas.

Regardless, thanks for taking your time out to implement something like this rather than forget about it.

Hm. I swapped the order of my categories (to Touhou-General-Artists), and the order in my profile remained the same, but the pictures did switch. And "Artists" still has more unrelated posts than not.

Liking the slight improvement on the look in the profiles. I just have to stress again that I think we need the tags in our profile to link as they did before rather than linking to the favtags query. I feel impaired when I try clicking on others artist tags and I'm taken to their query and have to search through for that tag.

That and consider line breaks instead of the commas to separate the groups. That's all! *runs*

Yeah, the tags need to be linked separately, and line breaks instead of commas. And I, for one, liked the auto-alphabetizing of the tags.

on another note, I lost my original favorite tags while screwing with the new feature and can't remember which ones I'm forgetting. kri kri kri :'(

I also miss the auto-alphabetizing and separate tags in my favorites. Also, I swear to god my "favorite tag" pictures match tags I've used to upload with instead of my actual favorite tags. lol

Awesome! The updates to the Favorite Tags table looks great. Not quite sure about no commas separating the tags (purely visual) but it might actually look better than with them, I can't quite remember how it looked before and I can't speak for everyone else.

The line breaks are really nice, though. So thanks for that. Now to see how the queries work.

The new set-up looks great, imo.

My favorite tags only seems to work with general tags.

Characters, Copyrights and Artists don't work correctly. Is this because nothing under those tags have been uploaded since implementation?

Can't be that, unless the new favorite tags system omits any images that you upload yourself. I've uploaded images tagged with my favorite tags since last updating them, but none of the images are showing up in the favtag results.

I had suspected that, but it doesn't seem to be the case. I've seen my both own uploads and those of others show up. I've also seen my both own uploads and those of others fail to show up.

What I have observed is that there seems to be a lag between stuff getting uploaded and finding its way into the favorite tags lists. Nothing newer than 12 hours shows up for me, and a 12-hour-old image (post #391009) just appeared in my favorite character tags list in between page refreshes a few minutes ago.

Edit: Scanning through all posts, I'm expecting post #391061 (currently 11 hours old) to appear in my list next, in about under an hour....

Well, the images under my favorite artist, character, and copyright tags have been the same since this new feature was implemented; so that's sort of strange.

Taking a quick scan of both of your profiles, Homo and r0d3n7z, the difference may have to do with the ~. Homo, it looks like you deleted the proceeding ~ before tags, while r0d3n7z didn't. That may be why it isn't updating for you.
