Since shoulder armor is armor, it would be useful if armor was implied.

Oops, my bad. Thank you so much!

Can't find the topic(?) but the conclusion from that topic was that the armor tag should only be used when it'S covering the entirety/majority of the body
E: It'S quite well hidden.
There doesn't seem to be a final conclusion, though.

kusazuri etc all imply japanese armor, which in turn implies armor, so there isn't much point in having that distinction.
We also have the full armor tag when the whole set of armor is present.

Yeah, I don't really agree with this definition of what should be considered armor as well. Feels rather arbitrary and as you said, there's a full armor tag which would be rendered useless with the conclusion reached in this topic.

Isn't it the opposite? This proposal would lead to armor being used more frequently and cause it to refer (maybe moreso?) to partial armor in addition to full armor. If you want to specifically indicate full armor though, the full armor tag still allows you to do that. If anything causing armor to be less focused would make full armor more useful as a tag.
Unless you're referring to the proposal you linked to rather than this thread, in which case I agree.

I think the proposal reached in this topic indicated that armor is really close to the full armor tag which is something I don't want to agree with.
Maybe "useless" is too far but we are close to a point where this is the case: Armot gets only used when there's a full barrage of armor (gauntlets, pauldrons, faulds, armored boots, breastplate). This may not be "full armor" but really close.
Given the existence of the full armor tag, I would say that the implications from gauntlets, faulds etc. to armor is pretty much a necessity, even if the character only wears one armored item.
