I don't think artist progress fits well for these cases, since for these individual posts the old picture might not even be on danbooru due to our quality standards. artist progress seems like a tag for depicting progress in a single post.
Anyone got an objection in the creation of this tag? Or maybe a better idea on how to handle these?
I support the creation of this tag. There are cases where artists redraw an old art but they don't fit the revision tag as the artist isn't correcting the old work, and the artistic progress isn't shown in the post itself. It's the case for posts like post #3921048 and post #3932884 for example, as the older art isn't uploaded in danbooru too (because the quality of the older work isn't very good usually).
I've been using the revision tag myself for this scenario. If a new tag does get created, that, and probably several other similar tags will need to be gardened.

I thought about revision but it doesn't feel right in this case - revision is for edits to the same pictures, while in this case the picture has been redrawn from scratch.
Why not instead of creating a new tag, just broadening the conditions for artist progress for it to not be exclusive to redraws of an image to be depicted in the same image. The tag itself can be re-named as redrawn or something of the like.

Because the tag would then be used for two different things. Not all artist progress pictures have the exact same picture (post #3279030, post #1072676, post #1064068 etc) so "redrawn" does not completely overlap with it.
