color eyebrows/eyelashes

I've noticed that recently a user has started populating color eyebrows/eyelashes tags (pink eyebrows for example). I wouldn't mind this, if not for the fact that most of those posts have the eyelashes/eyebrows the same color as the hair, making these tags practically useless.

Before I nuke them from matching hair color posts however I wanted to ask the hivemind's opinion, given that none of these tags has a description. What's everyone's opinion?

Seems like tag padding to me.

The eyelashes might be worthwhile, as they're typically drawn black regardless of hair color. Eyebrows are typically always matching the hair color or black, so it doesn't have much value if they're being tagged the same as the character's hair color or the default black color.

edit: Though will note that specific colored eyelashes are readily matched using a hair_color +colored_eyelashes search (ex: blonde_hair colored_eyelashes).

Nuke colored eyebrows tags and only tag it, when it's a different color than the hair color IMO.
I have no opinion on eyelashes.

One more addition on the eyelashes, is that there is also the art style of matching eyelash color to eye color instead of hair color. Ex: post #2495294, post #2484299, post #2654060, post #2952268. This doesn't necessarily require that we have specific color eyelashes tags, but having a tag that can differentiate if the eyelashes are matching eye color vs hair color might be helpful.

Tagging eyelash and eyebrow colors individually doesn't seem very useful to me. If people wanted to find pink eyebrows then they could just search pink hair, and if colored eyebrows are only to be tagged if they don't match the hair, then it seems like it would just fill an extremely narrow niche that only a handful of people might actually appreciate. Might be better off just making mismatched eyebrows or something instead.

I don't think anyone is searching for eyebrow colors; it's pointless tag padding. I think they should all be nuked in favor of a single mismatched eyebrows tag where appropriate.

I don't see a use in either of them, I think the existing colored eyelashes tag is good enough.

The harm is that it encourages people to create more useless tags and padding. Just look at e621, they have thousands of minor tags and nobody gardens them or knows which ones to use, it's chaos.

They serve no purpose unless eyebrow color is distinct from hair color.

Though I love tagging thoroughly, I can't see myself bothering tagging these. Just my 2 cents.

Alright, I've nuked the colored eyebrows tags and tagged mismatched eyebrows were applicable. Also wrote a wiki for that tag.

The vast majority of the posts I moved were in brown eyebrows, the remaining (3 or so) were under blonde_eyebrows. Every other colored_eyebrows tag was same color as the hair for every post, or tag padding that was actually wrong (stuff like blue eyebrows being tagged as purple because that was the tagged hair color, and similar).

I'll handle eyelashes soon™.
