BUR #5047 has been approved by @evazion.

create alias satania_(gabriel_dropout) -> kurumizawa_satanichia_mcdowell

Frankly I think this could go the other way around. This is another case of "let's use the technically correct full name not everybody knows, over the common name everybody knows, then add aliases to fix the problem of our own making".

I'm not sure why we're using Kurumizawa Satanichia McDowell either, every other site uses Satanichia Kurumizawa McDowell. As per help:tags, if a character has a mixed Asian/Western name, and their last name is Western, then we usually prefer Western-style FirstName MiddleName LastName ordering.

Character names

This is somewhat complicated. In general, use whatever order the source material uses. Failing this, use the ordering the character's nationality suggests. This typically means LastName FirstName order for Asian names, and FirstName LastName order for Western names.

But there are exceptions. Some characters use FirstName LastName order despite having Asian-sounding names. Subaru Nakajima is a good example of this (in all official promotional artwork FirstName LastName order is used). There is nothing we can do but shake our heads.

Some characters have a mixture of Asian and Western names. Refer to the source material for these cases. Failing that, the general rule is, use whatever ordering the character's last name suggests. Asuka Langley Souryuu has a Japanese last name, so it would become Souryuu Asuka Langley. Akira Ferrari has an Italian last name, so it becomes Akira Ferrari. But again, there are exceptions to this, like Setsuna F Seiei.

AFAIK the double dashes in her name as written in Japanese, 胡桃沢=サタニキア=マクドウェル, usually indicate "this name is in Western order and not Japanese order" (like the more common vertically centered dots.) For example, bell zephyr's name is written ベール=ゼファー. (There are probably less obscure examples out there but I can't immediately think of any, all the other characters I checked use the dots.) So it appears at a glance that Kurumizawa Satanichia McDowell is supposed to be in FirstName MiddleName LastName ordering already, despite the author clearly going for something like "JapaneseLastName WesternFirstName WesternLastName."

However, this directly parallels how Asuka's name is written in Japanese, 惣流・アスカ・ラングレー. Asuka's first name was obviously not meant to be Souryuu. I have no idea where this name ordering convention originated or if it's used for anything besides a handful of fictional characters, but it's entirely possible it's just an Evangelion reference and that's good enough.

I would support an alias to Satanichia Kurumizawa McDowell.

Might as well fix all Gabriel Dropout characters at the same time, so I suggest adding the following to the BUR:

create alias tenma_gabriel_white -> gabriel_tenma_white
create alias tsukinose_vignette_april -> vignette_tsukinose_april
create alias shiraha_raphiel_ainsworth -> raphiel_shiraha_ainsworth
create alias chisaki_tapris_sugarbell -> tapris_chisaki_sugarbell

The name is ambiguous with a single character, satania_(mon-musu_quest!), who is not noted on the wiki page. There's also an artist with 3 posts, maiden satania.

Even if we do want to keep the unqualified name a disambiguation page, I recommend at least aliasing satania_(gabriel_dropout) to the full name, for autocomplete purposes.

Yeah upon further searching your idea is a lot better (including the copyright), I should've suggested that originally.
