The current wiki for energy_weapon defines it as "a directed-energy ranged weapon that emits energy focused in an aimed direction to destroy a target without the means of a projectile." However, this definition is almost exactly the same as energy_gun's, and doesn't seem to be followed much at all. Instead, energy_weapon seems to be mostly weapons made of energy that don't fit into the standard categories of sword, gun, etc. As such, I think that the tag should be repurposed into an umbrella category for more unusual energy based weapons that lack a specific tag, and let energy_gun serve its original purpose. Of course, I'd like to hear other's opinions on the matter before doing anything.
