Nah it's very possible to do it. It's just not something that makes sense for us because there's always odd cases we can't predict, and we'd be shooting ourselves in the foot by hardcoding this kind of thing.
The only examples I can think of are loli/shota/toddlercon and those almost never happen. Not worth hardcoding them in the server.

Yeah, it's one of those things that might seem like like they should be mutually exclusive, but odd exceptions can pop up, so hardcoding this would just be "shooting ourselves in the foot", as nonamethanks puts it.
Sort of like character tags not autoimplying their respective copyrights. Corner cases happen.

I understand it can be annoying if one accidentally tags something loli (like you did in post #4569295, which I suspect is what brought this about), but the best way to handle it currently when that happens is to either mention it in the comments (like you did) or in the dedicated thread (topic #8650).

Oh, they do happen. There’s just not that much shota/toddlercon content compared to loli and I clean safe loli posts daily (as ion288 can confirm ;-) ).
Btw, from my experience, most errors with mutually exclusive tags are solo+solo_focus and solo+multiple_views. 5-30 of those per day compared to 0-5 safe loli posts per day. :(
