Original name doesn't make sense as it's either "ii aru" in Japanese or "yī èr" in Chinese. There seems to have been some confusion when first naming it.

Might as well alias 1, 2 Fanclub to it while we're at it for convenience's sake.

+1 on both. 1_2_fan_club for the alias?

Though... hmm, not sure we go with space or without between "fan" and "club". People seem to be spelling it all sorts of ways.

"Fanclub" is not an English word, but a lot of fan clubs call themselves fanclubs, so it might be about to change in the near future.

Agree. Personally, I'm leaning towards ii_aru_fan_club_(vocaloid) because the song is Japanese and corresponding pixiv tag is いーあるふぁんくらぶ, but this is a pretty minor point. Either would be fine.

Usually if the Japanese title contains loanwords (transliterated into Japanese), we use the corresponding English transliterations instead of transliterating the Japanese transliteration of the original, further obscuring the original loanword.

Like Bocca Della Verita (vocaloid) instead of Bokka Dera Berita. And that song doesn't even have Italian elements, unlike "Yi Er Fan Club", which is loaded with it, including having multiple Chinese phrases and Rin And Len dressing up in Chinese-themed costumes with panda hoods.

One might raise the argument that "yi er" is written in hiragana, but some 'common' Chinese phrases may be written that way sometimes, and "ふぁんくらぶ" is also in "hiragana", which we are already using "fan club" for instead of going through double transliteration into "fan kurabu".

We can go for the alternative and use numbers. My argument for making it Japanese is that I've encountered many things in Japanese on Danbooru. I can edit the BUR if we agree on one specific name.

NNescio has a point. The song title being written in hiragana, rather than katakana, is one of the factors that made me choose Japanese transliteration, but "fan club" also being in hiragana makes that point moot. Then we can just use yi_er_fan_club_(vocaloid) as the tag name, that's fine too.

Updated the BUR to make everything yi_er_fan_club_(vocaloid) while keeping the alias for the Japanese ii_aru_fan_club_(vocaloid).
