Would they be similar to any of you- or different?

Magician is the hocus-pocus, abracadabra, non-supernatural version.

Or at least the less occult one.

They're not different at all. Unless we want to talk about multi-classing.

That is what I am getting at.
Because a sorcerer is also called a magician.

The intended use of the magician tag, from what I've understood it before was to tag images of what would be called a stage magician. The kind typically shown with the top hat. Such types of magicians, as far as I'm aware, have never been called anything but a magician (wikipedia seems to indicate there are also specialist names, like illusionist and escape artist, but magician being the general name for all of them).

The biggest mix of images under the magician tag that causes confusion is predominately caused by the the presence of the class from Ragnarok Online, which already has the mage tag by the way.

I'd support cleaning up the magician tag to be exclusively the stage magician type of magician. Removing the Ragnarok Online images makes it the dominate style of magician in the remainder.

That would be good.

So what will be done about sorcerer? If it is not Ragnarok / Emblem related?

Not sure about sorcs, but I support the definition of magician as the guy/gal in the suit and top hat putting on a show.
