large_breasts huge_breasts -multiple_girls is at 147 pages and counting.
Which probably means there are even more posts in the "solo" category that have been mistagged.
Is there anything we can do to curb this?

Yes, if you adopt the tags, meaning you take care of cleaning them every day.
For example, the search solo multiple_views -animated status:any returns nothing because I fix the ~20 new posts in it every day and I know a few other users fix those mistags too when they encounter them. When I came back from two weeks of vacation, I was greeted by about 200 new mistagged posts, because nobody thoroughly cleaned them in the meantime.
If you want to reduce the amount of posts in the large_breasts huge_breasts -multiple_girls search, you’ll have to do it yourself. Every day. The backlog seems pretty daunting, but just whittle it down by fixing 100 posts every day and you’ll be done in maybe two to three months. That’s doable. I’ve done it before for other tag combinations.
A major problem in these kind of situations is random users coming along and adding the new tag without bothering/checking/caring/whatever if there is already a similar tag on the post, thus they end up with two mutually exclusive ones (colour tagging is another big situation with this problem).

I'm not sure that's always accidental or even a bad thing, especially with colors. For example if I can't decide between two colors of something like hair, I will often intentionally tag both. That came up in the old topic #13860 and sentiment was generally in favor. I reckon the risk and harm of someone missing the post by searching for the wrong one is higher than someone finding it in a search where they don't want it. There is of course a limit to smearing tags like that, since tags would be useless if every post had every one, but I'm talking about things that are really in between or subjective in some way.

Hmm.
Considering how my upload limit has gone down the toilet.. yeah, not gonna do it.
I never felt like the site appreciated my uploads or work on artist entries (neither on my old profile).

That's my position as well. And I think that similar approach can be valid for breast size tags too.
I don't doubt that the search in the OP includes a lot of mistags. But sometimes, when a depiction is borderline and either of two tags can apply, including both should be fine.
