I'm proposing a tag to be used as an umbrella term for characters that are some type of femcel, otaku, shut-ins or just dorky, not necessarily requiring the character to be smart.
Naming OCs like Aki_(Snale), characters like Makishima_Saori from oreimo, Velma from Scooby-Doo and memes like most drawings in the nerd_emoji tag would also apply just to set an example as a basis
I've been feeling the need for a tag like this for a while and since I'm down bad for them, I thought it would be right to take the initiative and make a forum post, characters like these have existed a lot of time back, but we don't have a name for them that I know of and if there is one we never tag it.
However, when it comes to the name I'm not dead set in 'dorky_girl' as the tag should be one that can be used to describe characters like these without excluding others and "dorky" is generally used to describe clumsy yet smart people, in case there is anyone who can think of a better name.
Making a male counterpart or using a gender-neutral term wouldn't be a bad idea either, as it would allow male and female characters to be tagged on it. I think that would be the best option
