Since most of standard gun magazines are box-shaped all the time (curved or straight), this is not a distinctive feature to tag (unlike drum magazine). It's an equivalent to light-skinned female. While manually nuking this tag will be a tediously discouraged work.
Most of posts are misusing this tag. Instead, they depict ammunition box that holds ammunition belt for machine guns. As we know, mags do have spring inside. Feel free to criticize or revise the tag Wiki.

Since it's almost universally misused for a tag that is mostly a plain-text synonym, I'd suggest an alias to ammunition box as a possible alternative.

Thank you very much for your suggestion and alternative. I can agree with this despite technically mags are not the same thing as a mere ammo box. Please edit the Wiki once the mods prefer and approve aliasing instead.
