Enmaided equivalent for School Uniforms? Nanchatte Issue

Posted under Tags

Prompted by the actions of some pizza user who began to add the 'nanchatte' tag to a bunch of posts, the #tagging channel on the server had a bit of a talk and discussion as to the merits of that tag and the general concept it represents.

For the unaware, nachatte refers to a fashion trend of wearing fake Seifuku and/or using seifuku when you don't have to.

As is being used atm, the tag doesn't really seem to be easily applicable (can't tell if a uniform is fake IRL, let alone in a post), and seems easy to confuse and not all that distinguishable from kogal

My input on this topic is that if we for any reason want to keep it (or something like it) we do an equivalent to enmaided but for school uniforms, which would in principle include this concept, under a larger/better/different tag name, and alias nanchatte to that.

I don't find the tag to be particularly useful compared to its counterpart enmaided (and that's already after we try to sift through this pretty broad trend to get a taggable Danbooru concept) because enmaided is -- thanks to maid day and also in general -- a much more popular phenomenon that artists draw.

Before it was nuked the tag was mainly Asuna and Karin drawn in school uniforms, and my problems with this are twofold (more than its likely overlap with kogal):
1. They are high school girls, seeing them in school uniforms should not be notable just because their "default" appearances are maid uniforms.
2. These are literally character models in game, not even original costumes created by an artist.

A similar comparison is the Unlikely Crossovers pool. Seeing a student of any age in a school uniform isn't really a stretch of the imagination, that would be like throwing actual canonical maids into enmaided only because they wear casual clothes most of the time.
