Wait, how or why was the deprecation approved? All but 1 were against or neutral on it.

Edit: the topic doesn't even appear when searching the forum for "multi-strapped_bikini", it was difficult to find why this change was made. Could this be a bug?

Because we already have multi-strapped bikini top and multi-strapped bikini bottom? I've been populating them after I approved this, and the vast majority are bikini bottoms. An umbrella tag is useless in this case, 90%+ of the posts are of one type.

Yes, that's why it wasn't split, almost all images for years were bikini bottoms. Tops with multi straps are pretty recent and I imagine almost no one is looking for them specifically.

Well that's the problem, the tag was mostly for multi-strapped bikini bottoms, but given that it was called "bikini", it was used for one or the other, despite vastly different designs, so finding a specific one was impossible. The split gives us the ability to search for one, the other, both, or one without the other. There's no loss of information.

What? Posts in multi-strapped bikini top go back all the way to Danbooru's creation. There's nothing recent about them, they're just less common, and we just never bothered to make tags for distinguishing whether one, the other, or both were multi-strapped.
