Stumbled upon this tag, scrolled through some posts, and as an ASMR enjoyer I did not like what I see.
The tag itself is already quite niche, but I believe it's usage should be altered.
For starters, here are some random examples that fit the tag quite nicely:
post #6555660, post #6614090, post #6443705, post #6336721
Here are some random examples where the image has no relation to the tag whatsoever:
post #6690940, post #6655577, post #6482194, post #6012929
In the examples that are fitting - there are clear references to ASMR, whether it's the iconic microphone head, ear microphones or just the text ASMR.
In the examples that don't fit, there's... nothing related to ASMR, except something in the description/source. There isn't a single thing I can point to in the images that warrants the tag.
I believe these images "poison" the tag - people that search for ASMR want to see something, anything, related to ASMR, not random pinups of cute, lewd girls. I believe the main cause for this is the third bullet point in the ASMR wiki:
"Images meant to advertise an ASMR video, which should be denoted in the commentary. The term 音声作品 (onsei sakuhin) means "audio work" (post #4556703)"
I feel like this point should be removed from the wiki. If people agree, I'll edit the wiki, manually garden the tag, removing images that do not have anything related to ASMR in the image.
