create alias lecturing -> teaching
Not seeing a difference between those two. They're effectively just synonyms anyway. Although, considering the mishmash of posts under both tags, these tags might, at the very least, require some clean up.
The lecturing tag is predominately depictions of scolding currently, but if it is cleaned up it'd be a better idea to retain it instead of aliasing it. The teaching tag is too overly broad and covers anything from one-on-one tutoring all the way up to large lectures, and even then the subject matter is so varied you have things like group study/review sessions, people instructing others on sex acts, and people providing martial arts training. On the other hand, the term lecture is very specific in referring to providing instructions before an audience/class which would at minimum make it valuable in better defining what is being depicted than just simply using the teaching tag.
Hm...I can see the utility in it. Looks like lecturing has been getting cleaned up too. That's good, though to be perfectly honest, I think teaching probably should have it's definition tightened if we wish to keep lecturing. As it currently stands, it's a ridiculously broad tag that houses post #6756329, post #7002278, and post #6794218 in the same breath.
Perhaps, assuming we wish to keep lecturing, we could make lecturing more a tag for the more traditional definition of teaching, whereas teaching could possibly for used for everything else that falls outside that umbrella, but is still teaching, and thus, should be searchable. I imagine some people don't want to see post #6829642 looking for things like post #7094382, after all.
