Both the dub and the sub for Code Geass refer to the Guren's versions with their English names. In s1e10 at 5:00, the Guren Mk-II is mentioned by name and while the JP audio says Guren Nishiki, the subs say Guren Mk-II.

...or at least, the subs for my, uh, unofficial version do. It'd be appreciated if someone could check an official release's subs for confirmation.

I've also included implications for the various forms of the Guren and Lancelot.

For the Guren Nishiki should probably use Guren Type-2, since that appears to be what the model kits use.

References

A Google search for guren mk 2 yields 26k results, while guren type 02 only gives 14k. This unit is more well known as the Guren Mk-II, likely because both the dub and sub refer to it as such.

Another reason is that Type-02 (and Type-08 for S.E.I.T.E.N in that other link you provided) is just the model number, similar to how the base Lancelot's model number is Z-01. We should only use the model number if there is no official title for the Knightmare - for example, I went with the model number when creating Lancelot Z-01 because the base Lancelot doesn't have a title like Albion or Conquista, it's just "Lancelot". As such, its model number was regrettably the only unique identifier available.

At least can verify now that the sub and dub of Code Geass on Crunchyroll does refer to it as the "Guren Mk2."
