I didn't think about that, but tbh I don't like that we have an exception that certain personifications don't count as personifications because they're from an established copyright? If I search personification I want to see all personifications. Though I get with the case of the horse and shipgirls it can be annoying due to how prominent they are, but there's enough large franchises about personifications now that the tag isn't going to be dominated by a single copyright or anything at least.

Honestly I feel like there should be an exception if they're portrayed with the thing they're a personification of, since in that case they're actually being shown AS a personification rather than just... Generic anime girl named after a ship or race horse or whatever.

Still think it's weird stuff like OS-tan isn't supposed to be tagged personification regardless though. I was wrong os-tan personification

I can see a strong reason for having these implications: while normally we don't tag things like Kantai Collection and Umamusume with personification & co to avoid polluting these tags with characters that barely look like the originals and only have a canonical connection, this argument falls apart in cases like these where the connection is actually displayed right there in the picture.

You know, I just realized there's actually precedent for this in genderswap's wiki.

"If a character in canon is genderswapped but rarely shown in their original form (such as Mai Natsume or Tanya Degurechaff), the tag only applies if said original form is included or somehow alluded to."
