While I think the qualifier should be better changed into nail_(hardware) in order to match similar objects like bolt_(hardware) and nut_(hardware)
Wikipedia uses nail_(fastener) (and bolt_(fastener), but nut_(hardware))

As someone who doesn't even know what a graphics card looks like, I think of tools. Also, if you asked someone what a hardware store is, they probably wouldn't confuse it with computer parts. Also also, is there even such thing as a computer nail?
But even with all that said, I agree that it's best to remove ambiguity as much as possible when creating a new tag. nail_(construction) should work just fine.

This implies that the nail is the tool, when in fact it is tools that are used with or on the nail.
