Does the trunk even need to be open, what if the image depicted being inside the trunk and it is closed?

Edit: For open hood, would this tag not also be valid for vehicles like trucks?

I think a separate open_trunk variant tag should be made and implied to car_trunk, which should be the generic tag.

We have a tag for in trunk, presumably for characters in a sedan cargo space. I dont think we need to tag closed car trunks at all really.

I agree. The majority of civilian motor vehicles have some kind of trunk; I think having car trunk for closed trunks would be the same in effect as "car viewed from side or behind".

Whether that's useful enough, or the percentage of car posts viewed from the front compared to those from the side or back, I'm not sure about.
