Proposing a rename from the naval uniform to the naval dress uniform because the current naming is ambiguous. The uniform that is worn by the enlisted sailors will be split into the naval sailor uniform. Plus, people also added the tag on Kantai Collection posts even if Admiral is absent. For now, the Admiral is targeted as part the mass update BUR, and the rest of the posts will be edited manually in case if this BUR gets approved.

I'd be fine with the implication of naval dress uniform to military uniform if that was all this BUR was, but the others are far too broad to be worth pursuing IMO. There are posts, particularly some of the much older ones, where naval uniform was used almost synonymously with serafuku, and a wide-ranging BUR like this would play havoc with those. Plus, the tag being "naval dress uniform" lends itself to the very specific Class A-style worn by both officers and enlisted, rather than as a generic term for "naval officer's uniform".
For example:
post #3728578 has Kaga, on the right, in the "Class A" Dress Blue uniform, for which the naval dress uniform tag is correct. But Kirishima, on the left, is wearing the "Class B" Service White uniform, for which the tag would be incorrect.
post #8222231 has the character in the "Class A" Dress Blue enlisted uniform. For this image, the naval dress uniform tag is still correct, because the tag only specifies the uniform class level, not whether the wearer is enlisted or officer.
Finally, post #7014578 has both Iowa and Yamato wearing "Class B" Service uniforms, Iowa in khaki and Yamato in white. For this image, the naval dress uniform tag would be incorrect, as though both characters are wearing what can easily be tagged as a naval uniform, neither's garb rises to the level of what can be considered a dress uniform.
The original intend that the tag would cover any kind of naval dress uniform. But since the posts with the Kancolle has swarmed the entire original naval uniform, I only targeted the Admiral in the BUR so the rest can be edited manually because he's the only one who wears the correct uniform compared to the shipgirls, who are just wearing glorified school uniforms.
What is the goal here, to split naval uniform into naval sailor uniform and naval dress uniform? If so, the majority of naval uniform is already dress/service uniforms or things based on dress uniforms, and the rest is either weird uniforms that don't really fit into either category, or things that shouldn't be tagged naval uniform to begin with. So I don't think we can get rid of naval uniform as a catchall tag.

I think the goal was to separate officer's and enlisted naval uniforms under the mistaken belief that only officers wear "dress uniforms" and only enlisted wear "sailor uniforms". This erroneous connection of "dress uniform = officer" was also part an old edit in military dress uniform that has since been fixed.
