Alias Obese to fat

Please, at the very least, read the wikis for tags you're making BURs on.

My mistake, in common usage they mean the same thing (with obese being the more “polite” of the 2) which is what I was going by, obese should really be renamed “very fat” or something of the like, would make more sense,

Would make more sense IMO, Obese is in common usage of the word just the “polite” way of saying fat.

As I said the 2 terms mean the same thing in common use, hence my initial confusion and suggestion to rename the tag, wouldn’t call it pointless personally lol

They do not mean the same thing even in casual conversation. Fat is just the generic catch-all for being overweight, obese is more specifically for someone who's extremely overweight. Calling someone obese is definitely not more polite than calling someone fat.

I hate the current state of the weight/belly tags as much as anyone but this doesn't do anything. And if anything, Obese is probably the most well-maintained out of all of them. Removing it or changing the name makes no sense when it's the way more common, recognisable and doesn't create confusion like "very fat" would.

And as a side, anyone offended purely by the word "obese" should have a little self-reflection.
