Hobie Brown as Prowler and as Spider-Punk

For the uninitiated, Hobie Brown used to be The Prowler. Appeared in like, 1970-fucking-something back when Marvel was niche. He stopped appearing as a villain sometime in the 90s.

Spider-Punk debuted in the 2014 spider-verse comics as a homage to a silver age villain turned hero. Aaron Davis, the prowler we all know and love, was haphazardly stiched together in the Ultimate Comics, notorious for changing shit in an attempt to be new and original. Just as a one off crook, also serving as a shocking revalation for Miles Morales in the comic run like "Oh my god, my uncle is a murderous criminal stereotype! And he's using me! I trusted him!"

Users started posting with the Hobie_Brown tag when Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse came out meaning virtually every use of the tag doesn't reference the original Prowler. But to future proof this website from a would-be uploader of Hobie Brown Prowler art, it's best to specify which version of Hobie we foster as of now.

And yes, both Hobies are black.

Spider-Man (Series) already has everything imaginable implied to it so the qualifier might not be ideal.

(marvel 616) or something maybe? Probably some issues with that considering how Marvel comics are (and the identical number stuff in those movies), but the fan wiki chose that.

More people who know they are two different characters would be aware of “Prowler Hobie Brown” or “Spider-Punk Hobie Brown” than “Earth 616 Hobie Brown” and “Earth 138 Hobie Brown” so referencing their aliases would make more sense

Both of these are characters from Spider-Man (Series), so having one of them use the "spider-man" qualifier would not help in reducing ambiguity.
