I've finished combing through the wig tag for topic #33156 and in the middle of the way I figured I'd starting other stuff as well and made a few more tags. Right now we got hair visible through wig, unworn wig, wig on non-human, wig over clothes, powdered wig, clown wig and bald wig. Basically imo the ONLY way you can tell there is a wig in an image is if one of these OTHER tags apply, although there are some rare exceptions like mismatched eyebrows, mismatched eyelashes, comics and post #1314182 that literally has a tag with "wig" written on it attached to the hair.
But right now wig is full of "canonical wigs" that you can only tell if you know the canon like
The entire my doll house tag (post #1248950) and ninomiya rui crossdressing from gatchaman crowds (post #2407011).
A second problem is that some pools/series have a character wear the wig in one image but not in all images and the rest of the pool is tagged with wig anyway like post #815851 vs. post #815853 and wig pool:1624. Should the tag be kept across the entire pool?
A third problem is that there are also cosplay photo with the wig tag like post #8476367 and post #8223270.
I don't really want to go around removing tags other people added without reason specially since it feels like EVERYBODY is tagging these wigs so I figured I'd post a topic first for consensus first (even though I'm pretty sure "tag what you see" is already the way it works in danbooru)
Should I add a warning to the wig wiki AGAINST tagging these "implied" / "canonical" wigs and then go remove the tags?
Also for the record how do you tag the "canonical" wigs instead?
Does official alternate hairstyle apply for narukami yu (crossdressing) and shiina mayuri (cosplay)? I'm pretty sure it doesn' apply for excelcius winner. I didn't play the game but it looks like he wears the wig BY DEFAULT so his "main" hairstyle is wearing the wig. It's been ages since I watched mm! so I don't really remember if that one crossdressed all the time or not.
For Kuroe Shizuku technically that is a character inside a game inside the manga, right? So when marin is dressed like her the tag should be Kuroe_shizuku (cosplay) and if it's a cosplay then official alternate hairstyle doesn't apply?
Or maybe there should be a separate tag for canonical wigs like official wig or simply canonical wig?
