Decided this probably needed to be its own thread:
I think we're going to need a policy on how to tag the Manekins and the Miliastra Wonderland outfits. There's only one post so far I've seen, but I have to assume we're going to get lots more in the near future.
post #10097300 created Female Manekin (Genshin Impact) and Female Manekin (Candlelit Revelry) (Genshin Impact) and Female Manekin (Genshin Impact) (Cosplay) but given there's going to be a whole suite of these costumes and apparently at least one new one each patch, in male and female variations, I'm not sure that's necessarily the best solution?
We could treat these costumes as gentags instead, similar to something like Starting Future (Umamusume), which is my first instinct. That way we avoid to need for dozens of implications to the Manekin character tags or cosplay tags for other characters wearing the outfit? I'd also be inclined to unify the male and female costumes, but they could also be separated if we wanted.
On the other hand, it looks like Infinity Nikki treats these kind of costumes as chartags in their own right, so I can imagine a Candlelit Revelry (Genshin Impact) chartag (or Candlelit Revelry (Female) (Genshin Impact) and Candlelit Revelry (Male) (Genshin Impact)). But would we then want Candlelit Revelry (Genshin Impact) (Cosplay) for a post like post #10097300 where a specific character wears the outfit?
Also, I'm not sure on how other copyrights handle characters with fully customizable appearance. Should we limit any Manekin tag(s) to the default appearance? Or use them more broadly (effectively on any otherwise untagged character wearing a Miliastra Wonderland outfit)?
I guess also if there winds up being a ton of art we may want to consider whether Miliastra Wonderland should be a copyright tag also.
