I noticed that none of the gingham clothes tags imply gingham; there's also no gingham clothes tag (aside from 1 post at the moment of writing) as there is with plaid clothes or striped clothes. Since this is a bit complicated, I'm asking what the best way to go about this is.
gingham should be deprecated, and the various gingham clothing tags should be made to imply gingham_clothes.

Somehow I cannot imply any gingham_* tags with gingham_clothes yet. I will try populating gingham_clothes first to make future implications possible.

I think the deprecation will remove the implication on its own if I recall correctly (confirmed, forum #378360)

the tags that are being implied to a tag can't be a certain factor larger than the implicated tag; gingham clothes isn't large enough yet.
Remove gingham_clothes from the two posts it's on, then edit the BUR with the implications. They'll be added back to those posts once the BUR is approved, so there's no harm in doing so.

TBH i'm not sure what the overlap is between this and plaid. I've always tagged these as the latter, and I can see a lot of mistags on all of the plaid tags like plaid shirt.
