Reason: Moonknives is the circle name, while 牟憑 is the artist's name.

There's actually a ton of circle -> artist aliases already in place, I can remember at least a dozen threads.

So long as it's a one-person circle, an alias is appropriate. If at some point another person joins the circle, all you have to do is remove the alias.

I don't know if there are other people on the Moonknives circle though.

By all indications, it's only one person in the circle. The artist's name and "moonknives" are used with the same Pixiv account (one as the handle, and the other in URL) for instance, and the artist's name is in the title of the CG collections.
