Rename megumin and others

BUR #50100 has been rejected.

create alias megumin -> megumin_(konosuba)
create alias satou_kazuma -> kazuma_(konosuba)
create alias komekko -> komekko_(konosuba)
create alias vanir -> vanir_(konosuba)

The other konosuba characters are all firstname_(konosuba). Should it be more consistent?

I can't do rename megumin_(cosplay) -> megumin_(konosuba)_(cosplay) because it has over 200 posts. Could someone else do that also?

There's nothing wrong with the current names as far as I can see, half of them are unique to Konosuba, also the renaming for cosplays are auto automatically (example yidhari murphy (cosplay) was renamed from yidhari_(zenless_zone_zero)_(cosplay) to the current tag

As far as Kazuma goes, characters are generally tagged with their full name unless it's really obscure. Which it's not really in his case. It's known from the start, and some characters call him by his family name.

Why do you use miyu_(blue_archive) and not kasumizawa_miyu, for example? Or why some unique genshin character names are sucrose_(genshin_impact) but not sucrose. If you say "for consistently", I have the same reason here!

From my perspective, most of these naming choices seem quite arbitrary.

Regarding Kazuma, would you prefer changing it to satou_kazuma_(konosuba) or kazuma_satou_(konosuba)? I’m not sure whether the first name should go first or not.

The surnames of those characters are omitted because the games they're from don't use them in-game. You would have to read a wiki or look at their profile sheet elsewhere to find out. The character selection screen only uses their given names, and we don't do anyone any favors by using full name.

There are exceptions. Zenless Zone Zero DOES show the characters' full names on the character select screen, which is why we opted to use full names there.

It's only arbitrary because you haven't lurked enough, which is obvious given your replies throughout this thread.

Neither.

As much as I don't think they should be or want them to be, and even considering a comment from a long time ago disagreeing with Fate characters having qualifiers even though people coming to Danbooru are typing those names specifically to find that character magnitudes more than anything else (e.g. most people typing "Saber" in search want to see Saber (Fate) not saber (weapon) at more than 10x the posts), a BUR to dequalify Makima (Chainsaw Man) fell through on the sole grounds that most Chainsaw Man characters are qualified. On the list of characters page for Kono Subarashii Sekai Ni Shukufuku Wo!, most of them have qualifiers.

Maybe something to have just kept quiet about but the genie was already out of the bottle when this topic was made.

The order used here is always the order as originally written
サトウ・カズマ/佐藤 和真
"Satou Kazuma"

Frankly, since the Blue Archive characters' full names are plastered all over Pixiv and Japanese artists' social media commentaries, it doesn't really seem like they are very obscure either, and it's really odd we go out of the way to not use them compared to most franchises represented here. I would be in favor of using their full names.

Considering that Vanir is a Norse mythology term (and what I'd think of first rather than the konosuba character) I don't think it would hurt to qualify that one

This one just caught my eye since I had reason to revisit the topic again (it was brought up so I just checked new replies) but Vanir wouldn't be a good general tag name so I think it's fine to leave it unqualified if we aren't doing it for any of the other characters in that BUR. These kinds of generic race tags without uniquely identifying attributes are low information and low quality; see our decision to deprecate god and goddess and the ongoing discussion to deprecate divine entity.

Realistically, how many people expect a Norse character when they search "Vanir" on an imageboard primarily dedicated to ACG content and not the Konosuba character (unless there's another Vanir I'm not aware of)?
