incoming_action supertag

BUR #50174 has been rejected.

create implication incoming_attack -> incoming_action
create implication incoming_gift -> incoming_action
create implication incoming_food -> incoming_action
create implication incoming_hug -> incoming_action
create implication incoming_kiss -> incoming_action
create implication incoming_drink -> incoming_action
create implication incoming_pocky_kiss -> incoming_action
create implication incoming_letter -> incoming_action
create implication incoming_forehead_flick -> incoming_action

a general tag for doing anything in direction to the viewer. because people want pov to be an "only tag if you can the pover body" tag (like in topic #33570) and there are lots of posts that look like a character is doing something to the viewer but because you can't see any part of the viewer then it shouldn't be tagged pov

like post #4440085 the viewer is being stepped on but you can't see the viewer. there is a tag for incoming headpat but no way to tag a character touching the viewer anywhere else on the face

BUR #50175 has been approved by @nonamethanks.

create implication incoming_kick -> incoming_attack

incoming punch already implies incoming attack but kick doesn't

btw i wrote a wiki for the viewer that can be used instead of linking to pov but it shouldn't be used as a tag. it looks like i can't make a BUR to deprecate it because it was never used.

"Incoming action" is the sort of tag that'll get deprecated in a year or so for being too ambiguous.

And none of these proposed tags feel any better than the pov tags they're trying to replace.

they aren't any better if you think pov should be used when the character is interacting with the viewer.

the problem is that the tag pov is supposed to be used only when the viewer's body part is visible, otherwise any post with a character talking to the camera can be interpreted as a character talking to the viewer and if the viewer is there then the post becomes pov. the fact that pov across table and pov doorway can't imply pov is proof of this.

but that only stops a BUR from creating an automatic implication. if the tag is called pov bullying people are just going to manually tag it pov too. like post #4224883 and post #8911891. also someone tagged post #9329836 with pov bullying like it's from the bully's pov.

pov pov_adoring has the same problem. posts that shouldn't be tagged pov per the wiki are getting tagged pov. the tags are unclear if the viewer is getting adored or doing the adoration so people tag both situations like post #8988843 which is really just disembodied hands and not even pov

the right solution is to have separate tags like incoming food and fed by viewer (imagine if those 2 were just called "pov food") instead of just calling everything a "pov" because pov is more ambiguous nowadays since people started using "pov" in memes like "pov: you're getting bullied"

I do appreciate a lot of your recent gardening efforts but I think that you're getting a little overambitious with things like this and tag maximalism on minor details that no one will really be looking for, like your recent creation of arched lower eyelids. This isn't something that needs an umbrella tag. Some of these just need consensus discussion and gardening to be more representative of what the tag is intended to be; replacing tags or putting them under an umbrella isn't always the best solution.

i understand. i thought this could be a solution to make gardening pov possible by moving posts without the viewer's body into a separate tag so i proposed it, but if others don't want it, i guess that at least settles it?
