Female Producer (Idolmaster)

create implication female_producer_(idolmaster) -> producer_(idolmaster)

No one seems to have addressed how the Female Producer (Idolmaster) should work yet (I guess because it's extremely small). Currently it's mostly getting applied at the same time as the Producer (Idolmaster) tag, but without an implication.

There's no consistency in how gendered versions of the "generic nameless protagonist" are dealt with in various other copyrights.

The Kantai Collection wiki states that the default Admiral is male, and Female Admiral (Kancolle) does not imply Admiral (Kancolle). Girls' Frontline is the same, Female Commander (Girls' Frontline) is separate and doesn't imply the main tag.

For Blue Archive, Umamusume, and Azur Lane, the female tag implies the main tag, and there's no male tag.

For Path To Nowhere, Touken Ranbu, and Arknights, there's separate female and male tags that both imply an ungendered umbrella tag (this is probably because Path To Nowhere and Touken Ranbu are unique in that the female version is much more popular than the male, and Arknights is unique in that the player character has their face covered by a mask and is usually depicted without a gender).

The middle approach is what I think makes the most sense as a default when the player character is mostly depicted as male. So that's what I'm suggesting for Idolmaster.

There's a simple answer as to why no one seems to have addressed how it works. This tag was created in June of this year, as crazy as that is, and it only got a wiki starting in September! You yourself added it to Producer's wiki today.

Presumably, had this tag been created ages ago, it would follow the same rules as KanColle's Admiral or GFL's Commander, where the tag is seperate and doesn't imply the main tag, since the underlying logic is that the default tag is male and implications would make it harder to find posts where you have both a Male and Female Admiral or Commander or whatever (forum #257464, forum #266062). It also probably wouldn't be so undertagged, like, surely there's more than a baker's dozen Female Producers.

I personally don't care whether it implies it or not, but it would have its implications on KanColle, GFL, etc. which still don't imply to the main tag (forum #266223).

I had no idea that the tag had been created so recently. I did a quick bit of gardening and found a ton of untagged female producers, I'll do more later.

I prefer the middle route since:
A) it seems to me that anyone wanting to see Producer is going to usually be fine with also seeing female Producers. They are the same character. The Kancolle/GFL way of doing things seems dumb to me, since anyone wanting to see any post with the Producer, regardless of gender, would have to search ~producer_(idolmaster) ~female_Producer_(idolmaster). Searching for Producer (Idolmaster) and getting getting both female and male versions seems more likely to be the result most people expect.
B) the Arknights option makes no sense when the male version is the overwhelmingly more popular version, since the male tag would take 99% of the tag.
C) wanting to see both male and female versions together is an unusual edge case that would be rare for someone to actually be looking for. And in any event dual persona helps with that, as NNT pointed out.

At the very least, any BUR like this should either include a line mass updating dual persona where relevant, or at least be pregardened so that producer_(idolmaster) female_producer_(idolmaster) dual_persona or equivalent for other copyrights actually works.
