Spun off from discussion in topic #29217. There's no need for these characters to be qualified by their specific series name. Just Precure is fine, as there is no way of confusing them with another villain from this franchise.
Feel free to add more if there are any. I prefer consistency.
We have megumi_(futari_wa_precure) and under this change would become megumi_(precure). This is an unimportant side character in the futari_wa_precure series. Aino_Megumi is the main heroine of another precure series. Problems with this? I personally prefer the characters be qualified by their specific series but if it's for the sake of consistency I'll do whatever. Just want to hash out some things.

Well, if changing Nico (Smile Precure!) and Megumi (Futari Wa Precure) to have the overarching qualifier would make them ambiguous relative to Nico-sama and Aino Megumi, then they should have the narrower qualifier, as I said in forum #419957, so keep them as they are. If there's no name overlap or ambiguity in changing the qualifier to the overarching qualifier, then the change is fine, but if there is, leave it be.

In the case of Nico (smile Precure!) and Megumi (futari Wa Precure), I think them being ambiguous with other characters in the franchise otherwise is more than enough reason to keep them as is. Consistency is only as valuable as findability, after all.
First I renamed some things. The Lafary tag is a costume so that should go before the series qualifier. Orba and Yamoh's names arent spelled correctly from the localized spelling.
I also made nico-sama an alias to nico_(wonderful_precure!). In wonderful precure, she calls herself nico, others just call her nico, the character page on the website is just nico. So it should just be nico to make the search easier. She has a human and unicorn form but those are tags that need to be created.
Here is almost 100 alias requests based on discussion we had. I chose characters that primarily are main characters, fairies or villains that wont be needing a hyper specific search like an extremely minor character would as discussed in this thread.
edit: some on these list already have the (precure) aliased to the specific series tag. Do I need to unalias these first or does this override it? I cant find the FAQ with this specific question.

I forget where it's like written in wiki pages or whatever, but I believe the behavior is that if tag A is aliased to tag B, requesting an alias from tag B to tag A simply swaps the direction the alias points; no need to unalias first.
This might have to wait until the above BURs get resolved, but anna's_mother_(meitantei_precure!) should probably be akechi_anna's_mother_(precure). It's best to just standardize on using FULL_NAME's_RELATIONSHIP_(QUALIFIERS) for all of these kinds of tags.
That's for another topic though since there are probably other tags which don't follow that format and would also need to be changed, but I wanted to bring it up since it's already included in one of the above BURs.

yeah I agree. That's probably what it should be until she gets a name reveal in the show (probably at the end, so early 2027).

Shouldn't it just be akechi_anna's_mother without the qualifier (since Anna herself doesn't have one)?
Question, if cure forms arent going have civilian form cure form implications, what about fairies? For example: meroron_(fairy)_(precure) is the true form of tanaka_meron (her human/civ form) yet meroron_(precure) is its own tag. Shouldnt both of thes forms of meroron be implications of meroron_(precure)? This feels like it should be the case but there are longstanding cases where there stilll isnt implifications. Under this change Kokoda_Kouji would be an implication of coco_(precure).
Cure forms had the argument of cosplay tags being a concern as to why they shouldnt get civ form implications but there really isnt a ton of fairy cosplay (or their civ form) pics to really cause problems with that being in tag searches.
EDIT after more searches: Seems there is inconsistencies, probably just due to people not making the BURs. I noticed that toyama_daifuku_(rabbit) and toyama_daifuku_(magical_boy) are both implications of toyama_daifuku unlike the two examples I posted above. And there are some others. This is exactly what I agree with. So I'm cool with making the BUR for these fairy form/animal form issues if I understand what the clear agreed policyy is.
From discussion earlier. Makes this more identifiable.
I was actually hoping for a more comprehensive approach to this issue. For instance, I started searching through the *'s_mother* tags, and found just a few of the following which should be updated.
I stopped after just a few pages, but as you can see there's a lot that needs to be standardized. Once that gets done, preferably in its own thread, then we can just use that thread to make BURs as needed to get any other tags that pop up and slip through the cracks.
Besides mother, there's also father, brother, sister, daughter, son, uncle, aunt, nephew, grandmother, grandfather, granddaughter, grandson, etcetera, that need to be looked at as well.
