Tag Implication: pixiv_trainer -> pixiv

Implicating pixiv_trainer -> pixiv.

Reason: Most of the Pixiv projects should probably have an implication like this.

Also, should pixiv_trainer imply Pokemon as well? It is a project about creating original Pokemon trainers, I don't think there would ever be an image with the tag that didn't have something Pokemon related in it.

It does when you leave out the extra underscore character, the way you just did.

There's 37 posts in pixiv_trainer.

However, due to using the auto completer that comes with the Danbooru Uploader add on for Firefox, it came out as pixiv_trainer_. I fixed my main post, so it should be fine now.

I question the implication. There's no meta-references to Pixiv from what I could see, and Pixiv has these "flavor of the month" projects over mundane things rather frequently (the latest one being "Touhous in sling bikinis").

The pixiv tag itself is pretty ambiguous.

"Use this tag only for images that refer to pixiv itself, and/or various memes and original works that originate from it, e.g. pixiv_fantasia."

The latter part, those memes, is what blurs the lines.

However, I think a rough guideline is that it's only used for pixiv projects that are truly original, not inspired by an existing copyright. With pixiv_trainer being pokemon-inspired, I don't think it qualifies for pixiv.

What about implying pokemon, then? Unless it already does?

I don't think we need that part in any shape of form, really. There are two kinds of pixiv projects:

• Memes which are distinct enough to have their own names
• Bland, mundane and ill-defined crap which fails to have any tagging value whatsoever (like pixiv fantasia for instance)

The former have their names already, the latter don't need to be tagged because they're meaningless. Thus I'd say we should get rid of that part of the wiki and leave it only for things referencing pixiv as an entity.

I have requested purging of pixiv_fantasia before, and I'm gonna repeat it: let's do a quick run for whatever tags might be appropriate for posts tagged with it (like, dunno, fantasy?), and then mass edit it into oblivion. It's a non-tag, it only serves to dilute the meaning of other tags.

Pixiv_fantasia may be ill-defined visibly speaking, but it's a label to help identify and locate posts. It's a tag that is defined by the artist (and as such it's verifiable). I don't see any benefit to purging it. If we do, it ought to be made into a pool.

I'll second, third, or whatever the opinion that we don't implicate though. The only things in pixiv should be stuff that directly references the site, not tangential memes that may have started there.

I do agree with making pixiv refer explicitly to pixiv itself, like post #606750 or post #581582. I removed the pixiv_fantasia -> pixiv implication. Also updated the pixiv wiki to remove mention of the memes like pixiv_fantasia.

How about pixiv-tan? Only half of those are currently tagged pixiv.
