Any art not allowed?

Sorry for all of these but I have a few more questions for here ^_^;;

For starters is there any artwork we shouldn't be posting up? I.E. If by artist request or something to that exstent?

Also should an image have as many tags that relate to it as possable? Many times I'll come across an image that has only 2~3 tags yet a simular image could have 20! I've been trying to make sure what I upload has as many known and used tags as possable yet I don't know by how far I should be going with these...

I mostly give as many relevant tags as possible.

Tag character/copyright for sure, artist if you know it, anything further is helpful but not required by any means.

If you don't know the artist, the character and the franchise, then adding at least descriptive tags is very much required. We don't want to see any "tagme" posts.

I just uploaded "Flappers", a Doujin for vampire savior, in a .zip file that's parented to its cover...I remember reading that the site wouldn't stop me from doing this but would it be better to just upload every page one by one insted of setting up a .zip?

I don't know what the rule is but personally, I like your approach a lot better than uploading every page.

Put it on rapidshare or similar services, and put the link in a comment on the cover post.

Ok then! My only problem is that I don't know a service that wouldn't remove the file if more then 30 days expired >_>;

Anyone know of any good uploading service that doesn't do this? And I guess I should remove the .zip then as well...>_<

That works, although I generally dislike relying on services like that as they seem to be about as dependable as a condom made out of tissue paper.

Well I'd rather upload it here just because I know then if its accepted it'll stay in place and be a garateed download in the future...But it seems the Mod LaC would rather have me use an uploader insted...sorry ^_^;;

Yeah. I don't really download doujins and certainly not adult ones. I just can't stand those free download services and would be a happy person if nobody used them anymore. They are the Geocities of our age. :D

Related question: Is art without any (anime) characters allowed? I have a bunch of scenic images that I think would make a nice addition to the site, but I'm not sure if I should post them because they might not be anime-related.

Well, not having seen the images in question, I don't know, but we do have images like that. You can find them by searching for landscape.

The images on that keyword are pretty awesome, I think. I'd say take a look at them, and if you still want to post whatever it is you have, go for it.

The images are similar to what I uploaded earlier today (post:171596) I personally love this stuff, but as there is so little uploaded right now, I was under the impression it wasn't all that popular.
(I was actually looking at the tag scenic/scenery, didn't know landscape existed... still, it's pretty empty too)

I'll go upload some more once my upload count resets then.

I wouldn't make a habit of it. Once a few are allowed, it gets hard to draw the line.

If they're by an existing and known japanese artist, depict a place from an anime or manga or japanese game, or something along those lines, then *MAYBE*, but broadly speaking, it's not really relevant.

Another related question. I have a large amount of images I don't know the source for. Is it acceptable to upload images without the character/series/whatever tags and hope someone else fills them in eventually?

Yes. Just try to look back at your posts later if someone HAS tagged them, and see if you can remember the tags if you upload more of that character.
