Stealing from Wikipedia

When adding to the wiki can we just copy and paste relevant info from Wikipedia?

The wiki isn't supposed to have full-fledged articles for the tags. Just a brief description of the tag, what it's about and when (not) to use it. Link to wikipedia for further information on series or characters.

It's in poor taste to just copy and paste. At least provide a link.

Also, just dumping the text is just messy, for example the nihongo tag on wikipe inserts formatting, which does not copy across, and a superscript question mark, which does.

I was more focused on the plagiarizing than anything else, but thanks for the other info.

Isn't plagarism always a no-no?

Now I hate legal jargon, but that reads to me like we can copy what we like from wikipe articles as long as a link back is included.

It is pointless to duplicate wikipe content however, when a short summary and a link to wikipe or other sources does what we need (which is explain the usage or tags and terms etc.)

It a pointless argument of course since all the image content here is used without permission and often without attribution.
