Newbie question: Which kind of pictures is this place meant for?

It should be fine, though males aren't particularly popular. But there is some audience for them, too.

Just as long as the artwork is excellent, it shouldn't be a problem.

I posted up a pic of Dante from Devil May Cry a while ago and it was fine.

I've posted images of just males before. Sure, maybe only 30 of my 5000 uploads, but there you have it nonetheless.

I mean hardcore yaoi might not be an easy sell but I'd never decline to approve an image *just* because it's of a male.

Likewise, I upload a few quality/amusing pictures of guys, just no yaoi.

Is there a list of rules somewhere? It would be a good thread to sticky. I just can't fathom deleting a picture of two fully clothed embracing guys with the simple reason "yaoi". (I just saw it, hence why I'm looking for precedence) That's homophobia to the extreme.

Rules are listed in the upload page:

"Do not upload furry, yaoi, guro, toon, or poorly drawn art"

Or do you mean a more specific description of each? Each of those types is linked to a description of it in the wiki.

someone disliking fictional drawn male sex is not homophobic to me.

anyway.
so far. female images outnumber male ones. which is obvious. but i havent seen anyone have a problem with it.

Those rules are a little out of date. When albert changed some stuff and we had to go through an agree/disagree screen to continue, there was a pretty good basic rule writeup.

If that's linked somewhere, albert, it might be good to put it somewhere more obvious. Like, in red at the end of the "My Account / Posts / Comments / ..." bar up top.
