'cats' pool

What in the world is http://danbooru.donmai.us/pool/show/114 and why is it full of things that have nothing to do with cats? Not that that would even need a pool anyway.

I imagine he couldn't figure out how to use favorites so he just made a pool but I could be wrong.

I also had the same question...

I thought pools were intended for full artbooks, doujinshis or a very special group of pictures.

I think "cats" is serving as a metasyntactic variable here, and it is a subcategory of his favorites which he uses for a specific purpose.

Those "cats" may have the same meaning as "chicks": females, girls and women.
