Network issues

Danbooru's hosting provider had issues with one of their switches today which has been causing some slowness. They are supposed to replace it sometime tonight. Just a heads up.

Things were bad earlier but it looks like everything is back to normal now.

I don't know if this is related to the network problems or not, but starting today I've noticed several of the images appear to be horribly corrupted.

Here's an example of what I mean. As you can see, some of the thumbnails look messed up, some don't show up at all, and some of the full sized pictures appear corrupt as well.

Works for me. Probably related to the network issues.

Is any of this still going on? The site isn't going down completely per se, but it's running a lot slower than I'm used to. Is it some network problem or just too many users on the site?

I can ping and traceroute the server fine. My guess is the burden of serving all the images is dragging the server down.

What happened to Amazon?

It's been a few months since albert discontinued using that service for hosting the images

S3 worked great. Unfortunately it's expensive. 1 terabyte is $180. 5tb (about what Danbooru does now) would be $900.
