We have two tags that seem to cover the same series, could they possibly be merged to one (preferably have "maoyuu" be an alias of "maoyuu maou yuusha" given that's the official name)

There's no relation.
Now that I think of it, we should alias the character tags, too.
Since all names are class descriptors instead of real names though, should we go against the norm and use the English translation instead of Japanese for tags?
E.g. South_Arctic_General instead of Minami_Kouri_Shogun?
Since things are rather inconsistent with the character names at this point, I think we should decide whether we're going to use Japanese or English names for the characters as Kikimaru brought up. My preference is Japanese, because some of the names have variable translations in English. For instance, Onna Kishi 女騎士 is "Female Knight" currently yet Onna Mahoutsukai 女魔法使い is "Witch Girl". Wouldn't it be "Female Witch" if we were being consistent? I've also seen mahoutsukai variably translated as "magician", "sorcerer", etc. instead. Unless we have a good official source of all of the names in English (I doubt that exists: the best thing may be using Crunchyroll's subtitles but not all characters' names will be said), I would just stick to the untranslated Japanese names exactly.
witch_girl_(maoyuu) -> onna_mahoutsukai_(maoyuu)
female_knight -> onna_kishi_(maoyuu)
big_sister_maid_(maoyuu) -> maid_ane_(maoyuu)
little_sister_maid_(maoyuu) -> maid_imouto_(maoyuu)
headmaid_(maoyuu) -> maid-chou_(maoyuu)
grand_princess_fire_dragon -> karyuu_koujo
archduke_fire_dragon -> karyuu_taikou
young_merchant_(maoyuu) -> seinen_shounin_(maoyuu)
dark_knight_(maoyuu) -> kurokishi_(maoyuu)
This should account for all of the character tags so far except post #957263, which can be cleaned up manually.
