Viewing loli/shota pics that you have uploaded

I've uploaded a few pics that contain loli and/or shota and have noticed a problem (that I'm sure many others have noticed too) about the way in which Danbooru hides such images from non-priveleged users. Namely, I can either tag them as loli or shota and have them rendered invisible for me or I can leave that tag out only to (a) undermine that tagging system and (b) have someone else tag them later, thus rendering them invisible to me. This very thing just happened to me with a straight shota pic I just uploaded.

Couldn't there be a system whereby upon uploading X amount of loli/shota pics, you are able to view images with those tags?

EDIT: OK, being a damn fool, I only just noticed the sticky. Well, with that in mind, I totally agree with the reasoning behind the current system but surely if someone uploads a certain amount of loli it stands to reason they have no problem with it? Unless you think your sponsors are going to be uploading some nice AskRay any time soon.

I've very disappointed to see they patched that hole in the loli system. I don't want to undermine the system, but now that I know I shouldn't have tagged that latest SS pic uploaded until I saved it.

I agree that stuff should be visible to the uploader, but I don't know how urgent it is as a feature, since only non-privileged people that are uploading shota/loli would notice the difference, and that might be a very small group of people.

But it would be a more useful feature if you ran the danbooru software with say, a block on all adult content for non-privileged users (like danbooru used to have).

As a workaround, I believe you can save a direct link to the image to view it. Or you used to anyway?

@surasshu: You still can... I semi-fall under that handful too; I up mostly highres pics, but some times I run into a few loli images that aren't on here, so I upload them... but they're not visible to me, which is kind of sad... oh wells, there are work arounds :)

Yes, that would be one of them... but its probably not too healthy for your hard drive (glares at his half dead 250gb external). I used "s" because there are definetly multiple ways around it.

Typically, the only reason I'd go back to the image is to see if A) Anyone commented on it (and needs reply); B) if someone decide to muck with tags or what not; and the very very rare occational C) if I need to check if something was translated (IE: Korean text in the once in a blue moon opportunity).

Aside from those, I don't usually have a need to go back to images on here. For the time being, there are work arounds, too. So it's fine :)

A member uploading something has nothing to do with sponsors paying money to put ads on the site, and I'm pretty damn sure sponsors don't upload anything.

Um... that was the point. If the reason that loli and shota is hidden is to avoid putting off sponsors, it would make perfect sense to let people who have uploaded loli/shota themselves to be able to see loli/shota images. Sponsors still won't be able to see the loli/shota stuff unless they, for some reason, upload some of their own - in which case they can hardly object when they see more loli and shota on the site.

EDIT: The reason I'm bringing all this up is that I recently uploaded a Nounanka straight shota image and asked for a translation but now I can't see the image any more. I appreciate the choice of hiding loli and shota from sponsors/potential sponsors but it seems like overkill to hide it from people that have uploaded such images themselves, PARTICULARLY when it's a specific image they uploaded themselves that they can no longer see.

Can't be 100% sure I'm making out what you're asking but... this thread makes it pretty clear that no, you can't view them without a privileged account.

If the sponsor doesn't want their ad seen together with loli pics, that doesn't change even if you personally have nothing against the pics. So you need a privileged account that doesn't display the ads.

Hmmm, and what i must do to view lolicon's shotacon's, and another images? Did i must upload a some images ?

You'd still have to remove the ads first, because the ad network doesn't want ads seen together with loli pics.

And to remove ads, you need a privileged account.

No, it doesn't say that. anything is possible, but there are no plans to open them up at a later date.
