"Take it Easy"

Danbooru has become a victim of its own success. I'm suprised anyone still goes to 4chan considering just how much better this place is in comparison.

4chan and Danbooru are used for completely different purposes, so I fail to see how your logic follows.

It's definitely been busier than before. Today it has been almost unusable and I started browsing early on today. It gets worse as the day progresses >_<

But yeah, summer might be to blame, navigating sure seems to be tough these days. It only recently started getting crazy for me as well, so I guess we'll have to deal with it for a few months or something.

From my experience I have to wait around for 30 minutes until the page actually shows content, then I'm able to click on some thumbnails that seem interesting, move onto the 2nd page and then wait another 30 minutes for those pages to load.

Yeah I've noticed it a lot this past month. I got once or twice over the beginning of June, and now its all the time.

Users are putting stress on the system evidently. After all, I log on at 8-12 in the evening Australian times, which sees a lot less activity as far as I can tell = hence a lot less problems with loading.

Well, bar when I use up all 500gb of my bandwidth and I get cut to slower speeds, but that's telstra for you.

It happens when the server load is 3.00 or higher.

It seems somehow that at sunday midday, brasilian time, Danboru is still not overloaded.
It's sunday, where did all the leechers (like myself) go?

WHat the hells wrong? some post say this was a problem before? why does it over load for? iv wasted over two ours just trying to brows around with the over load sighn

what kinda settings is the overload set on, anyway... is it even overloading too much if its set to max 2 per ip?

I get the overloaded message at all hours of the day. I try once or twice and don't come back for another couple of hours.

At least it's killing my addiction.

I get it so often that I'm starting to think about refraining from uploading pictures since few people will be able to see them.

I think I'm in the same boat. I've seen a lot of uploads (not necessarily mine) getting deleted because they go unapproved after 3 days. It's sad because a lot of them are fine and would have no problem getting approved if someone got to them.

No, there is no relation to the 'take it easy' errors. Privileged, mod and admin do not get the warnings, so that's not the reason. If they're not getting approved, it's because they're deemed no good.

Then why won't you give him privileged status?

The site isn't worth using until this is fixed. It's virtually impossible to enjoy and blows my mind that this has been allowed to continue for so long. I honestly can't use the site until this is resolved.
