Changing a tag from artist to character

I noticed that the virtual pet dog Densuke in Dennou Coil is tagged red and shows up under the artist heading rather than being green and under the character heading. I looked at the tag under artist in the tag section but there is no edit function. I'm fairly new to the site and still learning my way. I thought that maybe I could delete the artist tag and create a new character tag but I can't even figure out where to start to create a tag as the help instructions are not clear about to or where to create a tag.

Changed densuke to character.

There's information about changing a tag's type under help:tags. But note that basic members can't change relatively large (50+ posts) tags like this tag, so simply asking on the forum for someone else to do it like this is the best course of action.
