Wriggle = Saria (Because plants and bugs goes well apparently.) Yuugi = Darunia (Both are fun-loving and rather amicable when you know them.) Nitori = Ruto (Both are water creatures.) Yukari = Zelda (PHENOMENAL COSMIC POWERS but one sleeps a lot and the other gets kidnapped a lot.) Mokou = Nabooru (Poofy pants?) Aya = Impa (Impa is made to be a Ninja-type. Aya, jokingly so.) Byakuren = Rauru (No idea since Rauru doesn't do much even during his cutscene. I guess both are sage-types.)
I think you put a little too much thought into that. They all pretty much have one passing quality in common. Forest/fairy-like, brute/ogre-like, water, regal blonde type, pants, ninja-like, and sage-like. That's it.
Everybody else forgetting about momiji? She's much more similar to link, with their sword and shieil style. Plus she's a tengu, so she could probably perform the spin attack!
