I don't know if I'd say the issue is it doesn't feel like Aunn. I'd almost argue the opposite: It kinda feels too much like Aunn for me.
Eternity, Piece, and Nue all looked like their normal versions grown up. They seemed like their tastes and demeanour significantly matured in that time too, and so it wasn't just something that could be one-to-one'd. I can't see regular nue looking like post #9351737, for example, and it's hard to imagine piece or Eternity Larva's grown-up forms in anything closer to their canon outfits.
This feels a lot more like a straight sexed-up version of the character, with not much greater thought going into it. There's far less interesting details put into the design beyond just giving her curves. It's not older Aunn, it's just Aunn But Bigger, when they've proven they can do a lot more with these concepts. Not helping matters is that Aunn can be very easily seen as being around Reimu's age, and even some cases where Aunn's drawn to similar body types as this without being meant to be seen as more mature than canon. so she really needed to be brought to something closer to the Nue and Eternity skins to feels matured, compared to this which is more Clownpiece level.
A lot more could have gone into the design to distinguish her from the base; a different base outfit to suggest a changed outlook, a different hairstyle, a different demeanour. Could have had her adopt a look closer to what an actual shrine's assistant or guardian would wear, or even go the other direction and give her something like a bikini top and shorts look a la one piece's Nami. You could genuinely make it sexier and still have it feel less lazy, if you use that sexiness as a compliment to a more thoughtful mature redesign. This is just Aunn with her tits and horns scaled up.

Truth nuke! In my own opinion, I would have her hairstyle to be in swirls, maybe that's just me, but I would think she looks cuter with swirly hair.
